West Bromwich Albion have pulled the plug on Brown Ideye's proposed move to Al Gharafa after failing to land West Ham United striker Carlton Cole.
It was reported on deadline day afternoon that the Baggies were prepared to take a huge loss on their £10m club-record signing and sell him to the Qatari club.
However, Tony Pulis has decided to keep hold of the Nigerian striker after Cole's move to The Hawthorns was called off in the final hour of the transfer window.
The seven times-capped England international was in the Midlands to finalise a last-ditch move to Albion when the Hammers called him back upon learning that Tottenham Hotspur would not loan them Emmanuel Adebayor.
Ideye has scored just one Premier League goal since joining West Brom from Dynamo Kiev in the summer.
