West Brom boss Roy Hodgson concedes it is easy to move on following Carling Cup exit at the hands of Everton.

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he is not concerned by his side’s Carling Cup exit at the hands of Everton last night.

The Baggies were beaten 2-1 after extra time at Goodison Park and were a minute away from going through after Chris Brunt’s penalty, only for Marouane Fellaini to equalise, before Phil Neville won the game in the 103rd minute.

"It is very easy to draw a line under this and move on," said Hodgson.

"Any game you lose, even if it's in extra time after a good performance, you don't feel great about it but on the other hand our priority is the league.

"Our goal is not to win the League Cup it is to get another season in the Premier League and, to be quite frank, it can be counter-productive for teams like ourselves.”

The Baggies, who are currently propping up the Premier League, hope to add to their tally of three points this Saturday when they take on Fulham at the Hawthorns.
