Watford loan Matej Vydra to Reading

Reading announce the season-long loan signing of Czech Republic striker Matej Vydra from Watford.

Championship side Reading have announced the season-long loan arrival of Matej Vydra from Watford.

Former loanee Vydra joined Watford permanently on a five-year contract earlier this summer, but he has failed to make a single Premier League appearance under Quique Sanchez Flores.

Last season the Czech Republic international made 42 appearances in the Championship and scored 16 goals to help the Hornets earn automatic promotion.

Reading have reportedly paid over £2m as a loan fee to bring Vydra to the Madejski Stadium.
