Team News: Heurelho Gomes one of six changes for Watford against Cardiff City

Watford make six changes for their home game with Cardiff City, with Heurelho Gomes recovering from a knee injury to start in goal.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has recovered from a knee injury and starts for Watford against Cardiff City at Vicarage Road.

The home side have responded to last week's defeat against Derby County by making six changes to their side as they seek to end a run of three straight defeats.

Also starting are Gabriele Angella, Almen Abdi, Gianni Munari, Ikehci Anya and Matej Vydra.

Cardiff boss Russell Slade has handed a start to striker Kenwyne Jones, who comes in for ex-Manchester United man Federico Macheda as they chase their first away win of the season.

Watford: Gomes, bassong, Ekstrand, Angella, Parades, Abdi, Tozser, Munari, Anya, Deeney, Vydra.
Subs: Guedioura, Forestieri, Doyley, Cathcart, Pudil, Dyer, Gilmartin.

Cardiff: Marshall, Connolly, Morrison, Turner, Brayford, Pilkington, Gunnarsson, Whittingham, Noone, Le Fondre, Jones.
Subs: Fabio, Macheda, Adeyami, Daehli, Ralls, Maynard, Moore.
