Valencia 1-0 Villarreal

A last-gasp winner from Jonas saw Valencia sink Villarreal.

Villarreal's fight against relegation will go to the wire after a late goal saw them slip to a 1-0 defeat against Valencia.

The first chance fell to Pablo Piatti in the eighth minute, but he saw his left-footed effort saved well by Diego Lopez.

Lopez was also on hand to deny Toni Costa four minutes later as Valencia made all the early running.

Wakaso Mubarek was the first to test Vicente Guaita Panadero in the 14th minute but the Valencia goalkeeper was equal to the task.

Panadero then saved well from Bruno before Hernan Perez shot wide during the visitors first real spell of pressure.

Valencia were more threatening after the break and their pressure told two minutes into injury time when Jonas latched onto Aritz Aduriz's flick on to head home the winner.
