Torquay United manager Chris Hargreaves has admitted that he is keen to sign striker Jamie Cureton.
Cureton is a free agent after being released by Cheltenham Town at the end of last season, but Hargreaves, who has already secured four new players this summer, has insisted that any potential deal is far from being completed.
The 42-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "If it's right for this football club then it will be great. If not, then we wish each other all the best.
"If it works for both parties, it's something that we'd look to maybe do, but myself and Jamie have both been in the game for a long time and it's got to work for both of us.
"He's a goalscorer and a winner and that's two things that are very difficult to get in football."
Cureton netted 11 goals in 35 appearances for Cheltenham in League Two during the last campaign.
