The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute through Omar El Kaddouri, who cut inside from the left before drilling a low strike past Simone Scuffet.
Emiliano Moretti was close to adding a second just before the break, but headed wide from Ciro Immobile's left-wing cross.
Alessio Cerci was next to threaten for the hosts shortly after the break when his close-range effort flew just wide of the post.
Immobile doubled Torino's lead in the 57th minute with a fierce effort from range that found the bottom corner.
The home side continued to dominate and Riccardo Meggiorini was denied by Scuffet, before Dusan Basta fired high over the bar.
Both teams struggled to create any more clear-cut chances in the closing stages, as Torino saw out the game to move up to sixth place in the Serie A table.
