Swansea City midfielder Roque Mesa has joined Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.
The 28-year-old has struggled to get going at the Liberty Stadium since arriving from Las Palmas last summer, being used just 16 times in all.
Mesa was left out of the Swans' squad for the 1-1 FA Cup draw at Notts County on Saturday afternoon after being given permission to speak to Sevilla regarding a move back to La Liga.
A deal has now been agreed between the two clubs that will see the Levante academy product play out the last four months of the season in Andalusia.
Sevilla are sixth in the Spanish top flight and have a Champions League last-16 tie to come against Manchester United in February.
