Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has suggested that the club will not be selling Michu in January.
The Spanish striker has scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season following a £2m summer move from Rayo Vallecano, prompting rumours of a move away from the Liberty Stadium.
"We'll be looking to strengthen in January, not to weaken our squad," Jenkins told BBC Sport. "We'll make every attempt to make sure that happens.
"We felt we had [Michu] at good value and with his goalscoring. It's proved to be a good decision. We're very pleased with that one."
Michu scored twice last weekend as Swansea beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
