Harry Redknapp not on Sunderland's radar?

Championship outfit Sunderland are reportedly not interested in appointing Harry Redknapp as the club's new manager.

Sunderland have reportedly ruled Harry Redknapp out of contention for the vacant managerial role at the Stadium of Light.

Over the weekend, Redknapp - who was sacked by Birmingham City in September - was linked with a move to the North-East as the Black Cats continue to look for a replacement for Simon Grayson.

However, according to the Northern Echo, the Sunderland hierarchy are not interested in bringing in the veteran, either on a short-term or long-term basis.

In recent days, the Championship strugglers have been credited with an interest in Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom and Rangers legend Ally McCoist.

Luton boss Nathan Jones has also been linked with the position, but it is becoming increasing likely that Robbie Stockdale will remain in charge of the team for Saturday's meeting with Millwall.

Sunderland have failed to win any of their last 13 matches in all competitions, a run stretching back to August 22.
