John O'Shea hails debutant Anthony Reveillere

John O'Shea hails Sunderland teammates Steven Fletcher and Anthony Reveillere for their contributions in Monday's 3-1 win away to Crystal Palace.

Sunderland defender John O'Shea has paid tribute to debutant Anthony Reveillere for his performance in Monday's 3-1 win away to Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman - who signed on a Bosman last month - made his first appearance for the club as the Black Cats earned what was just their second win of the Premier League season.

Striker Steven Fletcher netted twice at Selhurst Park as Sunderland recovered from back-to-back defeats - including an 8-0 thumping at Southampton - and O'Shea singled out both for their telling contributions.

"Fletch was fantastic, he took his goals superbly, but, as a unit, I think we were a bit more solid," the Irishman told Sky Sports News.

"What a big three points for us, it gives us a bit of momentum, and hopefully puts the last couple of results out of everyone's mind.

"I have to give Anthony a big mention. He was fantastic, to come in like that at full-back."

Fletcher's first-half opener was cancelled out on 51 minutes after defender Wes Brown scored an own goal, but strikes from Jordi Gomez and another from the Scot in the final 10 minutes sealed the win.
