Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala suggests that a decision regarding his future is imminent, as his German club battle to sign him to a new contract.

Jamal Musiala has suggested that a decision regarding his future is imminent, as Bayern Munich battle to sign the Germany international to a new long-term contract at Allianz Arena.

The attacker's future is currently the subject of much speculation, as his current deal in Munich is due to expire in June 2026, and he is said to be on the radar of a number of major European clubs.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all thought to be admirers of Musiala, who has again been in excellent form at club level this season, scoring nine times and registering four assists in 14 appearances.

The 21-year-old has also scored scored twice and registered three assists in his three appearances for Germany this term, including a goal in his country's 7-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday night.

Bayern are battling to sign Musiala to a new contract

Musiala was asked about his future after representing Germany in the UEFA Nations League, and he has suggested that a decision may be made during the upcoming winter break in Germany.

"It's important for me to stay fit and perform to my potential until I have a bit of time to calm down. Then I can take time to think about everything. I think we'll know more during the winter break," Musiala told RND.

Bayern are believed to be willing to offer him a significant increase on his current salary, with the German giants determined not to lose one of their best talents at such an early stage of his career.

Musiala said earlier this month that he was "happy in Munich", but he has refused to give too much away when it comes to his future, with negotiations between his representatives and Bayern currently at a crucial stage.

How likely is it that Musiala will leave Bayern?

The attacker made the move to Bayern from Chelsea in 2019, and he has represented the Munich giants on 177 occasions in all competitions, scoring 52 goals and registering 35 assists in the process.

Musiala has five goals and two assists in eight Bundesliga matches this term, while he has managed one goal and two assists in four Champions League fixtures, and three goals in two outings in the German Cup.

As it stands, it is highly unlikely that Musiala will be leaving Bayern, with many of the signs pointing towards him signing a new contract at Allianz Arena.

The likes of Man City, Man United, Real Madrid and Barcelona will continue to carefully monitor the situation, but Musiala is at a club challenging for major trophies, while he is a vital player for his national side, so it is difficult to imagine him switching clubs at this stage of his career, with a return to English football potentially occurring in a few years.
