Stoke City have announced that Ollie Shenton has agreed a new contract with the Premier League club.
The teenage midfielder's previous deal at the Britannia Stadium had been due to expire in 2017.
However, following negotiations, 18-year-old Shenton has extended his stay with the Potters until the summer of 2020.
"Anyone with any connection to Stoke City will know how highly we regard Ollie," chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website.
"Ollie has already been on our books for more than a decade and was playing for our Under-18s on a regular basis as a 15-year-old.
"He's still learning his trade but he's a player with huge potential and we're delighted he has signed a long-term contract."
Shenton is expected to leave Stoke on a loan basis at some stage this month.
