Bruno Martins Indi 'closing in on Stoke City move'

Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi will reportedly undergo a medical at Stoke City on transfer deadline day.

Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Stoke City.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League following the 2014 World Cup, but instead joined Porto from Feyenoord.

However, the Netherlands international is now set to make the move to England, with Sky Sports News reporting that he will undergo a medical with Stoke on deadline day.

The deal will reportedly be a season-long loan switch, although the Potters would have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Everton were also linked with Martins Indi earlier in the transfer window, but the Toffees have since signed Ashley Williams from Swansea City.

Martin Indi's arrival at Stoke is expected to allow Philipp Wollscheid to complete a move to Wolfsburg.
