Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Rayo Vallecano.
The Potters signed Imbula for a club-record fee in February 2016, but the former France Under-21 international failed to impress during his first few months at the bet365 Stadium.
Imbula spent the last campaign at Toulouse, and although the 25-year-old made 28 appearances in Ligue 1, Stoke remain keen to part ways with the player before the end of August.
According to Cadena Ser, Rayo Vallecano have indicated that they are willing to sign Imbula after their poor start to the new La Liga campaign.
Vallecano sit at the bottom of the standings having suffered defeats to Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
Stoke are likely to entertain permanent and temporary deals in a bid to get Imbula off their wage bill.
