Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt's Daichi Kamada, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The Japan international impressed with his performances at the World Cup in Qatar, as he helped his country to famous wins over Germany and Spain to top Group E.
German outlet BILD reports that Tottenham are now considering a bid for Kamada in January.
Borussia Dortmund, Roma and Everton are also reported to be interested in the Frankfurt playmaker, with last season's Europa League winners desperate to keep their biggest asset.
However, contract talks have stalled and the club are understood to be resigned to losing the 26-year-old.
The 26-cap international has scored 12 goals and assisted four in 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
