Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to launch a bid for Schalke 04 midfielder Max Meyer.
Spurs were linked with a move for Meyer in the summer, but according to the 21-year-old, Schalke were not prepared to entertain the Premier League club's interest.
According to Sport Bild, Tottenham have now been given encouragement in their pursuit of the German international and will launch a move when the January transfer window opens for business.
The same report, however, claims that Schalke are not prepared to sell for anything less than £30m.
Meyer, who joined Schalke's youth academy in 2009 before making his first-team debut in 2013, will be out of contract at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
