Report: Everton bid for Federico Fazio

Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio could join Everton for £5m this summer, according to reports.

Everton have reportedly entered the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Federico Fazio.

The Argentine international seems to have fallen behind new defender Toby Alderweireld in the Spurs pecking order, and is yet to feature this season.

West Bromwich Albion were reportedly in talks to sign the 28-year-old, but the Daily Mail claims that the deal has broken down and Everton have now made their move.

The Toffees are said to have bid £5m for Fazio, as they look to replace the departed Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz.

Fazio joined Spurs last summer from Sevilla.
