West Bromwich Albion's seemingly imminent move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio has reportedly broken down after discussions stalled over personal terms.
The defender was at the Baggies' training ground this morning to undergo a medical after a £5m deal was agreed with Spurs, but ITV Sport claims that the move has faltered at the final stages as the club and the defender failed to agree terms.
The report also alleges that the transfer could yet be salvaged as a loan deal, but despite manager Tony Pulis saying earlier today that the club were hopeful of completing a deal for the Argentina international, Albion are now thought to be moving on to considering other options in defence.
Fazio arrived at White Hart Lane from Sevilla last summer and played 31 times for the club in all competitions last season, but he is yet to feature this term after being displaced by new signing Toby Alderweireld.
