Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly place a £40m price tag on Toby Alderweireld if the Belgium international is still with the club beyond the end of the week.
Alderweireld is currently available for £25m due to a release clause in his current deal, but the buy-out figure will expire on Friday.
According to The Telegraph, despite the centre-back only having 12 months left to run on his contract, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will demand £40m for the Belgian this summer if his buy-out clause is allowed to expire.
Alderweireld, who has been linked with a summer move to Roma, recently suggested that he would not be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 30-year-old has turned out on 165 occasions for his current club since arriving from Atletico Madrid in July 2015.
