Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has suggested that the club will sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino before the transfer window closes.
Spurs have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old, and it is thought that they will table a third bid to the Baggies for him.
Redknapp, who managed Spurs between 2008 and 2012, is confident that Berahino will soon be making the switch to White Hart Lane and it is now down to the two chairmen to make the deal happen.
"It's only a game of poker at the moment between Daniel Levy and Jeremy Peace," Redknapp told talkSPORT.
"Jeremy Peace holds all the aces in that situation because Tottenham are desperate for a striker – he's the one they've identified, so I think the deal will happen before the deadline.
"Everything's probably all done with the player behind the scenes, he probably has a good idea about where he's going to live, even. All it is now is a game of bluff between the two chairmen, who are trying to get the best deal for their clubs."
Berahino has scored 29 goals in 83 appearances for West Brom.
