Tim Sherwood disappointed by Tottenham Hotspur sack

Tim Sherwood describes his sacking at Tottenham Hotspur as a "massive wrench".

Tim Sherwood has described his sacking at Tottenham Hotspur as a "massive wrench".

The 45-year-old was dismissed as first-team coach on Tuesday despite having just over a year remaining on his contract.

Sherwood recently guided Spurs to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League table.

"It is obviously a massive wrench to leave Tottenham Hotspur, a club that is close to my heart," the former midfielder told Sky Sports News.

Sherwood is among the early frontrunners to take over at Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion following Oscar Garcia's resignation on Monday.
