Robbie Savage thinks that Harry Redknapp should stay at Tottenham rather than take the England job in the summer.

Robbie Savage believes that Harry Redknapp would be "mad" to accept the England managerial role considering his current position at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 64-year-old is favourite to succeed Three Lions boss Fabio Capello, although Spurs chairman Daniel Levy revealed yesterday that the ex-Portsmouth manager is not considering the position at this time.

"I think at the minute [Redknapp] would be mad to take it," said Savage. "Redknapp is the obvious choice. [But] he's got such a good squad at Spurs and a great chairman.

"Why would you want to take the England job when you lose two games and you're the worst manager in the world?"

Tottenham are currently fourth in the Premier League table on level points with Chelsea.
