Harry Kane has admitted that rotation is likely to prove key this coming campaign as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for their return to the Champions League.
The Lilywhites fell away in the closing stages of last season after looking real contenders for the top-flight title, but still did enough to secure their best-ever Premier League finish.
Spurs must now prepare for a gruelling schedule that will see them balance both domestic and European fixtures over the coming months, which Kane believes boss Mauricio Pochettino is an expert at dealing with.
"It'll be a challenge. We'll be playing better teams and they're tougher games so it maybe takes a little bit more out of you but that's part of it," he told the club's official website.
"If you want to be a top team you have to be able to cope with that and deal with it so we'll have to manage that throughout the season. The manager is very good at things like that, so we've just got to prepare well and see how we get on.
"It's going to be an exciting season. Some of us haven't played too much football lately and we're looking forward to getting started with the game [against Inter Milan] and getting back into the swing of things."
After facing Inter on Friday, Spurs turn to preparations for their opening Premier League fixture at Everton on August 13.
