Brad Friedel has backed Tottenham Hotspur's decision to let Hugo Lloris play on after sustaining a head injury against Everton last weekend.
The Spurs keeper collided with Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku, but played the remainder of the game after being assessed by the club's medical staff on the sideline.
Friedel, who was between the posts for Tottenham's Europa League win over FC Sheriff yesterday evening, told Sky Sports News: "He was very quick off his line and is very brave when he comes to collect and clear balls.
"The doctors did their job, the manager asked the right questions. The doctors will err on the side of caution and nobody wants their players to be in harm's way. They did their jobs the correct way and he played on.
"I have played many games in my career so it doesn't really faze me. The gaffer said I might have to come on but he came through tests ok. Hugo gave the thumbs up and that was that."
The France international was given the all-clear after undergoing a scan after the match.
