Roberto Soldado set to miss Leicester City clash

Roberto Soldado is expected to miss Tottenham Hotspur's meeting with Leicester City on Saturday due to a knee problem.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Roberto Soldado is likely to miss Saturday's game with Leicester City at White Hart Lane.

The Spanish forward missed the 3-0 loss to Manchester United on Sunday due to a knee injury, and he has struggled to make progress in his recovery this week.

"Roberto still has the same problem," Pochettino told the club's website after training on Thursday. "We will analyse him again tomorrow but maybe he's out of the squad."

The injury means that Spurs will once again be left with two senior forwards available after Emmanuel Adebayor returned to action as a substitute against United.

Spurs head into the weekend sitting seventh in the table, six points outside the Champions League places.
