Southampton and Burnley are reportedly interested in a move for Oxford United defender Robert Dickie, with a series of other top-flight clubs also tracking his progress.

The 23-year-old has been outstanding for the League One side so far this season, with Karl Robinson's side currently 11th in the table.

According to Football Insider, Dickie has less than 18 months left on his current deal and his club are now expecting offers to come in.

The report adds that Southampton and Burnley are interested, while a number of other Premier League and Championship clubs are also monitoring the situation.

Dickie impressed scouts during the club's EFL Cup clashes with West Ham United and Manchester City this season.

Southampton and Burnley clashed at the weekend, with a Matej Vydra volley sealing a 2-1 win for the Clarets in the second half.
