Report: Ryan Bertrand poised for permanent Southampton move

A report suggests that Ryan Bertrand will make his loan move to Southampton a permanent switch next year after impressing Ronald Koeman during his time at the club.

Southampton will make defender Ryan Bertrand's loan move to the club from Chelsea a permanent switch next year, according to a report.

The 25-year-old joined the Saints on a season-long loan deal in August after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by with the Blues.

Bertrand has put in a series of impressive displays for Ronald Koeman's men this season, and due to the level of his performances the club are ready to make his move permanent in either January or at the end of the campaign, reports The Mirror.

The left-back has made 19 appearances for the Saints in all competitions this season, scoring one goal.
