Siena have earned their first home win of the Serie A season with a 1-0 triumph over Bologna.

Despite a lively first half which saw both sides threaten, the game remained goalless at the break.

However, the hosts broke the deadlock on the hour when Emanuele Calaio had time to turn before seeing his 25-yard effort deflect past Federico Agliardi.

The victory has lifted Serse Cosmi's side out of their negative points tally and up to 18th in the Serie A table.

Siena would be joint-seventh in the table had they not been deducted six points for their part in a recent match-fixing scandal.
