Sevilla president Jose Castro has revealed that his club are in contract negotiations with Steven N'Zonzi and are confident that an agreement will be reached "soon".
The 27-year-old has played a key role in Sevilla's strong start to the 2016-17 campaign and it has been claimed that a number of clubs are interested in signing the former Stoke City midfielder.
N'Zonzi's current contract at the Estadio Ramon will run until 2019, but Castro has confirmed that talks over a fresh deal for the former France Under-21 international are taking place.
"We are working on N'Zonzi's contract extension and we are in negotiations," Castro told Cadena Cope. "We hope to announce it soon."
N'Zonzi joined Europa League winners Sevilla from Stoke in the summer of 2015.
