Sevilla winger Piotr Trochowski has admitted that he will undergo surgery on the leg injury that he recently picked up against Barcelona.

The German hobbled off during his side's 3-2 defeat at the end of September and will now visit a specialist in Denver to correct the problem.

"I'm not very good, I didn't expect the injury to be that serious. Next Wednesday I'm sure I'll be more optimistic," the 28-year-old told Sevilla TV.

"I didn't get better and that's why we took this step and now it's known that it is more serious."

Trochowski scored two goals in six matches before suffering the injury.
