CSKA Moscow struck late to claim a 1-1 draw against Roma in their Champions League Group E match.
The visitors took the lead at the end of the first half when Francesco Totti fired in a free kick.
In the third minute of stoppage time the Russians drew level as Vasili Berezutski's cross missed everyone and found the bottom corner.

Was the result fair?
Roma will be cursing their luck that they did not pick up the three points this evening. They were firmly in control of the match for large spells and after Totti's strike it seemed as if they would go on and add to their lead. Radja Nainggolan and Adem Ljajic both missed huge chances to score a second, but they were made to pay as Berezutski found the corner.
Although the visitors may have deserved the three points, CSKA pushed hard and showed the type of resolve that has kept them alive in this season's Champions League. It has set the group up for a remarkable last matchday, where the Russians must get a result against the unbeaten Bayern Munich.
CSKA Moscow's performance
CSKA had picked up two decent results in their last outings against Manchester City, but started slowly this evening. They struggled to get on the ball and it took them a long time to grow into the match. They even had a great chance to take the lead when Seydou Doumbia found himself with just the keeper to beat, but the striker saw his effort saved and moments later Totti broke the deadlock.
After the break, they certainly rode their luck and on a number of occasions could have found themselves further behind. However, they went into the final minutes putting the Roma defence under a heavy amount of pressure and found a goal from the unlikely source of Berezutski. They will surely need to improve when they face Bayern, as the German champions will not be so forgiving in front of goal.
Roma's performance
Rudi Garcia will be disappointed at the final result, but his players performed well until letting their lead slip deep into stoppage time. Their midfield dominated from the kickoff and Totti was at his inspirational best, scoring a sublime goal from a free kick.
Davide Astori and Kostas Manolas were solid at the back, but they paid the price for a single lapse in concentration. A victory would have put them on the verge of reaching the knockout stages, but now it all comes down to their final group match against Manchester City.

Francesco Totti: The Roma captain was brilliant this evening and scored a great goal to give his side the lead. He played some wonderful killer balls over the top for his teammates and linked the midfield and attack. Despite his age, he is still a key player for his club and they will need him to be at his best when they face City in two weeks.
Biggest gaffe
Nainggolan and Ljajic must share the blame after they both missed two huge chances to give Roma the lead. They were both through on goal, but the Belgium fired wide of the post, while the Serbian had his attempt saved by the keeper. If one of them had found the target their side would have been out of sight, instead of lamenting a frustrating draw.
Referee's performance
It was a relatively quiet night for Dr Felix Brych. He had a big decision to make in the first half when Alessandro Florenzi went down on the edge of the box, but made the right call by giving the free kick that Totti scored from.
What next?
CSKA Moscow: CSKA host FC Ufa on Saturday as they look to end a run of two consecutive league defeats.
Roma: The Giallorossi will be looking to maintain their Serie A title challenge when they welcome Inter Milan to the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.
