Rio Ave continue fine form with win over Nacional

Marvin Zeegelaar nets the winner as Rio Ave defeat Nacional 1-0 in the Primeira Liga.

Rio Ave have moved up to third in the Primeira Liga table with a 1-0 win over Nacional.

Despite dominating the match, and taking 17 shots in the process, it took 59 minutes for Rio Ave to break the deadlock when Marvin Zeegelaar scored his second goal for the club.

Albuquerque Cassio made four saves to keep the Nacional attack at bay.

The Madeira club now sit just three points above the relegation zone.

Rio Ave, meanwhile, are looking to repeat their success of the 2014-15 season when they finished a record-high second in the Primeira Liga.
