Real Madrid identify Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as their number one target in the final third of the field, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly keen on a summer deal for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentina international, who has scored 16 times in 31 appearances for Antonio Conte's side this season, is believed to be a leading transfer target for Barcelona.

The Spanish champions are thought to have already agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old, although they are seemingly yet to settle on a transfer fee with Inter.

According to ESPN, Madrid view Martinez as their leading first-choice target to provide competition for Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu, starting from next season.

However, the report acknowledges that the coronavirus outbreak could make it difficult for Zinedine Zidane's side to complete a move for the South American this summer.

Martinez is believed to have a €111m (£100.6m) release clause in his current deal at San Siro.
