Real Madrid are interested in signing Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to a new report in Spain.
The La Liga giants are said to have been keeping tabs on the Bosnia international since last summer, with Marca claiming that Real have already been in contact with Pjanic's agent regarding a potential move.
Following reports of interest from league rivals Barcelona, it is suggested that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez does not want Pjanic to commit to joining another club without Real having the option to match an offer first.
Pjanic has made 158 appearances for Roma, scoring 26 goals and providing 39 assists since joining from Lyon in 2011.
Spanish reports also claim that Real are interested in Santos and Brazil international midfielder Lucas Lima.
