Luka Modric signs a new four-year contract with European champions Real Madrid.

Luka Modric has signed a new four-year contract with European champions Real Madrid.

The Croatian midfielder, who joined the Spanish club from Tottenham Hotspur two years ago, extends his previous deal by a further year.

The 28-year-old started every game for Los Blancos in the Champions League last season as they won their first European title for 12 years.

He has made 106 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and winning four trophies.
