Marco Asensio has admitted that he is unsure whether he will be returning to parent club Real Madrid at the end of the current season.
The 19-year-old joined Espanyol on a season-long loan from the capital side in the summer and has impressed during the early stages of his career at the Barcelona-based team.
Asensio, however, who has still not played for the Real Madrid first team after making the move from Mallorca in 2014, does not know whether he will return to the Bernabeu next summer.
"It was very exciting to receive the fans' support. It helps me and the team. When we're united, wins like the one against Valencia are achieved. As for the praise, I'm taking it easy," Asensio told reporters.
"It's too early to assess whether I will return to Madrid. We'll see what happens at the end of the season."
Asensio has two Spain Under-21 caps to his name.
