Brazil legend Ronaldo believes that Cristiano Ronaldo will win his second consecutive Ballon d'Or when the prestigious award is handed out in the New Year.
The Real Madrid forward was the recipient of the 2013 gong back in January, and his two-time World Cup-winning namesake thinks that he will once again be crowned as the world's best player.
Speaking to UOL, Ronaldo said: "[He has] explosiveness, speed, strength, scoring many goals – I think that this year he has been superior to Lionel Messi, like last year, and it seems like once again he will win the Ballon d'Or.
"Neymar has drawn himself a lot closer to those two, he is the best hope we have now of seeing a Brazilian with the Ballon d'Or."
Ronaldo won the World Cup with Brazil in 1994 and 2002.
