Real Madrid are reportedly optimistic over Eden Hazard's fitness after the attacker withdrew from international duty with Belgium.
Hazard started alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku in attack against France in the Nations League semi-finals but lasted 74 minutes of the encounter before being taken off for Leandro Trossard.
The Red Devils crashed out 3-2 to the world champions - who produced a storming comeback after being 2-0 down - but there was concern over Hazard's injury following the encounter.
Belgium are due to face Italy in Sunday's third-placed playoff, but Marca reports that Hazard will play no part in the game and has returned to Madrid for further tests.
The report adds that results from initial scans have been promising, though, and Hazard may be able to return for the Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk on October 19.
Hazard has made just 51 appearances during an injury-hit two years at Real Madrid, scoring five goals and setting up nine more in that time.
