Rayo Vallecano nicked a late goal to earn an opening-weekend win against Granada this evening.
Rayo made a bright start, with Nickie Bille almost netting an early goal with a long-range shot that fizzed past the top corner.
The visitors had their first attempts on goal when Fabian Orellana saw his effort saved before he sent over a corner that was headed against the crossbar by Inigo Lopez.
The second half began evenly, with Rayo going closest in the opening minutes and Alejandro Galvez sending a shot just wide.
It looked destined to finish goalless only for Roberto Trashorras to curl a free kick over the wall and into the top corner with virtually the last kick of the game.
