Rangers boss Ally McCoist hails David Templeton impact

Rangers manager Ally McCoist lavishes praise on David Templeton for his performance against Arbroath this afternoon.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has heaped praise on David Templeton after the winger came off the bench to find the net against Arbroath this afternoon.

The former Hearts midfielder scored the Gers' second in a 3-2 win at Ibrox.

"I said to Temps after the game that I thought he was absolutely terrific when he went on," he told Rangers' official website.

"He gave us another boost and he obviously scored a great goal and hit the post. [Bilel] Mohsni knocked the rebound in which probably should have counted.

"A real integral part of the win was Templeton going on and we all know he has the ability to change games and win games for us. That again today, after Monday, will do him no harm at all."

The result leaves Rangers 23 points clear of second-placed Dunfermline in the Scottish League One table following the Pars' 3-2 loss away to Brechin City.
