Chairman Tony Fernandes insists that Queens Park Rangers are capable of staying in the Premier League.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has refused to accept that his club will be playing in the Championship next season.

With seven matches left to play, Harry Redknapp's team are eight points from safety.

However, despite having the odds stacked against them, Fernandes has insisted that everybody connected with the Premier League team remains "focused".

"Good chat with Harry. Team is focused. Together is the key word come what may in May," he wrote on Twitter. "This is a long term project. But we not down yet. I still have faith."

The R's will play host to Wigan Athletic tomorrow afternoon.
