Queens Park Rangers host fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic at Loftus Road on Saturday in Mark Hughes's first home game in charge of the club.

Both teams are currently in the relegation zone, although a win for either side could see them climb out of the bottom three.

Hughes, who took charge for the first time for Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United, will be without captain Joey Barton, who is still serving a suspension.

Barton's absence aside, the Welshman has no new injury problems.

Shaun Maloney could make a return to the Latics side following a calf injury, while there are no other concerns for manager Roberto Martinez.
