Report: Mark Warburton wanted by Queens Park Rangers, Fulham

Queens Park Rangers and Fulham are keeping tabs on outgoing Brentford manager Mark Warburton following the announcement that he will leave Brentford, a report claims.

West London rivals Queens Park Rangers and Fulham will reportedly battle it out to land outgoing Brentford manager Mark Warburton at the end of the season.

The 52-year-old, who guided the Bees to promotion from League One last year, will leave the club in the summer due to a conflict of interest with those higher up.

QPR recently appointed Chris Ramsey on a temporary basis following the departure of Harry Redknapp at the start of the month, while Fulham turned to Kit Symons following a poor start to their own campaign, offering him a contract which has another 14 months remaining.

However, the London Evening Standard claims that both sides are keen to hire Warburton following his impressive work up the road at Griffin Park, which could see the pair compete to land the former city banker's signature.

Warburton will remain in charge of Brentford for the remainder of this term.
