Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos reportedly wants to stay and prove himself at the club after an injury-plagued first season.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos reportedly has no intention of leaving the club this summer.

The former Real Madrid man has endured a nightmare first season at the Parc des Princes and has been limited to just five appearances in all competitions due to injury.

Sporting director Leonardo has admitted that the 36-year-old's signing was a "mistake", and he has been tipped to end his stint in the French capital after just one season.

However, RMC Sport claims that Ramos is not planning to walk away from Mauricio Pochettino's side this summer, with the Spaniard determined to prove himself after a difficult first season.

Ramos is tied to the Ligue 1 leaders until the summer of 2023, and the report adds that the centre-back's "leadership and diligence" are invaluable in the dressing room.

Ramos is understood to have trained with the team on Saturday and therefore has a chance of making his comeback in Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Lorient.
