Team News: Edinson Cavani named on Paris Saint-Germain bench

Edinson Cavani is named on the Paris Saint-Germain bench for the Coupe de la Ligue final against Bastia.

Edinson Cavani has been named on the Paris Saint-Germain bench for the Coupe de la Ligue final against Bastia at the Stade de France.

The Uruguayan was reported to be struggling with an injury for most of the week, but is fit enough to be named in the squad as Laurent Blanc opts to start with Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zlatan Ibrahomovic as an attacking trio.

Injuries in midfield and defence hand starting roles to Adrien Rabiot and Serge Aurier, while Nicolas Douchez is preferred to first-choice goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu in goal.

After spending a month in prison for a head-butt on Thiago Motta last August, Brandao is back in the Bastia squad for the first time as a substitute.

Giovanni Sio takes on the responsibility of leading the line, while Gael Danic and Floyd Ayite also both start.

PSG: Douchez, Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell, Aurier, Matuidi, Verratti, Rabiot, Pastore, Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi

Bastia: Areola, Cioni, Modesto, Squillaci, Palmieri, Cahuzac, Gillet, Ayite, Boudebouz, Danic, Sio
