Gregory van der Wiel: 'Marco Verratti to become even better'

Paris Saint-Germain full-back Gregory van der Wiel says that his young teammate Marco Verratti can go on to become an even bigger player for the club.

Paris Saint-Germain full-back Gregory van der Wiel has said that his young teammate Marco Verratti can go on to become an even bigger player for the club.

The 21-year-old midfielder has built a strong partnership with Thiago Motta in the centre of the park, and Van der Wiel believes that the Italian playmaker could develop into a leading player.

"He's very young but has so much talent; he's good at keeping the ball and passing, especially together with Thiago Motta," said the right-back, according to Ligue1.com.

"They are really good in midfield, they switch the game from left to right and sometimes long to Ibra.

"He's developing really well this season and I think he's a big asset to the team. I think he can even become a bigger and better player."

PSG currently top the Ligue 1 table with 54 points.
