Laurent Blanc: 'Javier Pastore can still improve'

Javier Pastore can still improve as a player, according to Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc.

Laurent Blanc is expecting further improvements from Javier Pastore, despite his good form for Paris Saint-Germain this season.

The Argentine international has won rave reviews for this performances over the past 12 months, with Eric Cantona labelling him at the best player in the world.

However, Blanc believes that there is more to come from the ex-Palermo playmaker.

"Javier is playing very well at the moment, but he can still improve," he told reporters.

"He has to try and play as close as possible to the opposition penalty box. I am very demanding of everyone here, and especially those with a huge potential, such as Javier. It should drive him to strive to be better."

PSG can open up a three-point gap at the top of Ligue 1 if they beat Nantes on Sunday.
