Port Vale seal the signature of midfielder Chris Lines after his departure from Sheffield Wednesday.

Port Vale manager Micky Adams has revealed that he is delighted to complete the signing of midfielder Chris Lines.

Lines has moved to Vale Park on a one-year deal after his release from Sheffield Wednesday, and Adams believes that his experience could prove key to the Valiants next season.

The 51-year-old told The Sentinel: "Chris is a tall, strong, central midfielder who has played in the Championship in addition to League One and also experienced promotion

"That calibre of player can only be a bonus for us and I'm looking forward to him joining the group."

Lines made 53 appearances over a two-year period for Sheffield Wednesday.
