Shwan Jalal makes Oxford United loan move

Oxford United sign Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal on a one-month loan deal.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has joined Oxford United on a month-long loan deal.

The 30-year-old, who has not played for the Cherries this season, will link up with Oxford until October 12.

"I think Shwan has been frustrated by the lack of opportunities this season," Howe told Hot Radio.

"Ryan Allsop has performed very well and been stable as our number one goalkeeper, so Shwan is looking to get some game time.

"Hopefully he will get that but if not, then he will definitely benefit from the experience at a good club."

Jalal could make his U's debut against Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
